What you do next ... We are not quite ready to rock and Roll yet - but we will be very soon! - Show your friends this website, get together and vision it – dream it into being and form a local Collective Land Action Network (CLAN) Invite your local green scene or Transition Initiative along to an event, or go to their event. We have started to put together Facebook groups so you can discuss and share information.
Why not start looking for local-ish land within an hour or so drive - do some research into which of your local estate agents deals with farmland (you could get some tips from, and feed info into our links page) You may know your local farmers – ask them about land for sale – they often know each other and could help you. We are a small team - but were here to help - we could give a presentation to your group, do a local green event with you, help you link with other localish groups, we could bring the Land Roots stall to your local community music festival - invite us along - we want to see this grow and we like to have fun along the way! We want to train up small groups who will help grow this in your area too - so if you feel you could help - get in touch! When there is enough people in the clan to raise the money to buy land - people either in your local area or from further afield and suitable land is found, then the land will be bought. - Land Roots will work with your clan towards forming a suitable legal structure to hold the land - probebly a Co-operative or a Community Farm Land Trust. When the land is bought it may be transfered from Land Roots to the new Co-operative / Community Farm Land Trust and Land Roots will remain as a partner.
- Land Roots is at the moment a CLG - we plan to change this to become a CIC in 2010, one of the advantages of being a CIC is that it has an automatic asset lock - so that the land is safeguarded in the long term. When we do this - Land Roots will also be able to safely own land in it's own right.

- Do a talk to your local green group, student union, transition group - you could use our Presentation from the vision and values page, or print off our 5 Display Boards - (NEW ONES SOON) see below - or distribute some Leaflets (SOON)or invite us to come do a presentation with you... if we can help we will !

- Write a Visioning story - 'Land Roots 2012......'
- Make a Youtube to promote Land Roots
- Check out our Art for Lands Sake online Shop! and spend some money while your there!
